Eagles Art Ehrmann Cancer Fund Grant Requirements
Grants from the Eagles Art Ehrmann Cancer Fund are made available every year to qualifying institutions in your state or province.
Grants must be given to non-profit institutions or organizations under the Articles of Incorporation of the Eagles Art Ehrmann Cancer Fund, and must conform to the Internal Revenue Service requirements. The members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles hold fundraising events to contribute to the Grand Aerie Charities, which is an internal procedure, although outside donations are welcome. The Fraternal Order of Eagles does not provide grants to outside fund raising organizations even though their cause is worthy (such as the National/American Cancer Society, The Leukemia Society of America, Inc. or the Muscular Dystrophy Association). Grants may not be awarded to any individual, whether they are an Eagle member or not for medical treatment or to an Aerie as a club.
All aeries/auxiliaries requesting grants must submit a Universal Grant Application and a brief resume of the project along with a statement that the grant funds will only be used for research, education, equipment and hospice care and signed by the Administrator of the Organization requesting the grant. The grant must be for scientific and educational purposes, to engage in research, publicity, and other forms of education's work. All grants are required to have a IRS Tax Exempt number from the recipient organization written on the grant form before they can be submitted.
After your grant application has been completed, it must be sent to your State/Province Executive Board. The board will approve or deny the grant based on their fund allowance, and will then forward approved grants to the Grand Aerie for processing. No grants will be approved or processed for any aerie or auxiliary that is delinquent in per capita tax.
Any applications that are not complete or do not meet all the requirements will be returned to the State/Provincial Secretary for further handling. ALL STATE CONVENTION GRANTS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONE (1) MONTH PRIOR TO CONVENTION.
If an earmarked donation is requesting back additional funds, the donation check and Grant Request Form must be sent to the State Secretary. The state will approve or deny the additional fund request. If approved for additional funds it will be forwarded to the Grand Aerie Art Ehrmann Cancer Fund for processing. If only the amount sent in with the grant is requested back, send directly to the Grand Aerie.
Grant request forms can be obtained from your state secretary, www.FOE.com or from the Grand Aerie at:
