Golden Eagle Fund Grants
Purpose
To aid bona fide charitable organizations sponsoring community oriented programs for the elderly.
Requirements
The copy of the IRS charitable exemption 501 (a) (3) must be attached to a Universal Grant application for the Golden Eagle Fund.
A grant cannot go to any individual, whether they are an Eagle member or not, for medical treatment or to an aerie as a club, private nursing home, etc. Keep in mind that the grant is program-oriented. Elderly people in the community must be able to participate in these programs.
Grants
Grants are in the amount of $1,000.
Qualifications
To make donations to the Golden Eagle Fund. Grants go to the state showing support for the fund.
Routing the Application
The State Aerie Executive Board makes the final decision in a state before sending it on to the director of the fund. Thus, the applications should NOT be sent directly to the director of the fund. Grant requests MUST go to the state aerie secretary for approval from their State Executive Board.
Path of the Application
Send all grant applications to your state/provincial aerie officer. The state will approve or deny the grant based on their fund allowance, and will then forward approved grants to the Grand Aerie for processing. ALL STATE CONVENTION GRANTS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONE (1) MONTH PRIOR TO CONVENTION.
Where To Get Applications
Grant applications may be obtained from your state secretary, www.foe.com or from the Grand Aerie at:
