H.O.M.E. Charity Fund
HOME CHARITY FUND - H.O.M.E. is an acronym for "Hands of Many Eagles."
Administration
The fund is administered by the Memorial Foundation.
Purpose
To allow donors from Eagle communities to designate and
support various charitable organizations. These grants are available to organizations that do not fall under the regular Grand Aerie Charities. Examples include the American Cancer Society, Make A Wish, Heart Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Homeless Shelter, etc. Grants cannot be awarded to any individual, whether they are an Eagle member or not, or to an aerie as a club.
Requirements
Send a check payable to: Memorial Foundation/"HOME" so your aerie/auxiliary will receive the credit. The check must be earmarked for the recipient organization in an amount no less than $100. The IRS tax-exempt number from the recipient organization must be included, and a brief resume of the project is also required.
Grant Amount
In the amount of your aerie or auxiliary earmarked check(s).
Requirement Signatures
The Universal Grant Application must be signed by the aerie/auxiliary secretary and president. It must also be signed by an officer of the recipient organization.
Path of Check
Once the director receives and approves the request, it is forwarded to the accounting department for check processing. The check will then be sent to the aerie/auxiliary requesting the grant.
