(Napoleon, OH) August 7, 2009 — The Napoleon Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) Eagle Riders #4428 invites the local community to their Institution and Inaugural Poker Run for CASA on Saturday, August 22 beginning at noon at the house of Napoleon Eagles and Eagle Riders members Phil and Nancy Wade, located at 538 State Route 108 in Napoleon.
The poker run is open to the public. The costs for the poker run are $15 for a single and $20 for a couple. The cost includes a dinner of brats, hamburgers and sides.
Registration for the poker run will be conducted at the Wade house. The first bike leaves at noon. All bikes must return to the Wade house by 3 p.m. The stops include the Bryan Eagles, Defiance Eagles, Okolona Tavern and the Napoleon Eagles, with the final stop and meal at the Wade house.
Rick Rivera, Ohio Eagle Riders Chairman, and John Miller, Ohio Eagle Riders Northwest Zone Coordinator, will present the Napoleon Eagle Riders with their charter at 7 p.m. at the Napoleon Aerie following the poker run.
Entertainment includes food, drinks, music, drawings and a picture booth. All of the proceeds support CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA, a local non-profit agency, works to improve the lives of abused, neglected and dependent children in Henry County.
“Our Eagle Riders are excited to be instituted into the local community,” said Lisa Rhoads, Secretary of the Napoleon Eagle Riders. “We hope the community will celebrate with us and support this great cause.”
The soon-to-be instituted Napoleon Eagle Riders consists of more than 30 members of the local community and are actively collecting money to donate to the community.
The Napoleon Eagles were instituted into the local community in 2000 and have grown to more than 360 members. Napoleon F.O.E. supports the community and follows the International Eagles motto of ‘People Helping People’ by donating more than $72,000 to the local community including the high school proms and athletic teams. They also award three $1,000 scholarships.
